In a time of uncertainty for women, I thought it would be good to point out some women who are wholeheartedly ensuring to better the world we live in. Whether it be by activism, body positivity or speaking out loud about injustice.
1. Baddie Winkle
Baddie Winkle’s mantra is age is just a number. Baddie speaks openly about how colour and fashion changed her life when she lost her husband and son.
2. Oprah Winfrey
Oprah’s Cecil B. de Mille award speech at the Golden Globes was absolutely magnificent. Oprah spoke out about the sexual abuse in the industry and around the world and warned abusers that there time was up!
3. Emma Gannon
Emma Gannon is a true pioneer for the new world of work. Author and podcaster, she enjoys speaking about how we can adapt ourselves career-wise in this ever-changing climate. She’s also recently been featured on Microsoft’s new advert to celebrate her multi-hyphenate career.
4. Kat Williams (Rock n Roll Bride)
Kat William’s the founder of Rock n Roll Bride and is a champion for individuality and body positivity. As well as her role of promoting alternative and not one size fits all wedding styles, Kat openly speaks about feeling comfortable in your own body and not losing weight for your wedding day.
5. Tina Fey
One of the funniest women alive. Tina is known for her work on SNL, 30 Rock & Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Tina also speaks out about how hard it is to be a female comedian in an industry dominated by men.
