Things To Do in Margate

A beautiful seaside town on the up! Perfect for a day trip and for an injection of sunny sandy beaches.

Places to Eat

1. GB Pizza Co.

Wanna Pizza Me? Lovely wood fired pizzas with wine on tap! The ‘Wanna Pizza Me?’ neon light also really finishes off the setting.

Choose from a delicious selection of gelato. Flavours include Prosecco, Cinnamon and Rhubarb! I particularly enjoyed the White Chocolate flavour!

3. The Bus Cafe

Street food on a bus? This cafe is seriously cute. They also only use GLUTEN & DAIRY FREE ingredients in all their food.

5. Cheesy Tiger

You have to visit Cheesy Tiger on the Harbour Arm PERIOD. From Mac ‘N’ Cheese to oozing Cheese Toasties, you will not be disappointed!

Places to Visit

1. Turner Contemporary

The cultural regeneration all started with the Turner Contemporary some time ago! From the likes of Jeremy Deller, Grayson Perry and Sol LeWitt be sure to check out this beautiful glass gallery by the sea. They also have a super cute gift shop and cafe!

2. Dreamland

The re-designed Dreamland is so beautiful! An architect’s dream, the newly opened Dreamland features original rides from it’s previous opening but with a modern twist. You have to try the rainbow slide!

3. Old Margate Town

Old Margate Town has so many independent shops, some of my favourites being Peony Vintage, NØRR, Môr & Little Bit.

Also check out the junk yard!

4. Cliftonville

Make sure to venture up the road to Cliftonville, a new and upcoming part of Margate. Look out over the old lido on Cliftonville’s seafront whilst grabbing a delicious lunch! Alternatively I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about Cyril’s Sandwiches. Make sure to pop to MarMar the brain child of This Way to the Circus for coffee, plants and beautiful gifts!
